Greetings from District 3140!
It is indeed wonderful to feel the stirrings of an  organization that is getting all set to begin a new movement!
Since last May when many of us had the opportunity to meet up and get introduced to the alumni fraternity, the bonding has begun and the ball set rolling. Surely this movement should continue purposefully and with this in mind recently a few of us from the district, a small mix of Rotary Volunteers, University teachers and GSE alumni met up as a committee to decide on the functions and course of this wonderful body of  "Bonded through Rotary" individuals. One of the results of this  focussed meet was the scheduling of our annual reunion on June 20th,2004 as all of you may be aware through Alumnus Derick Pinto's communication !
Another important decision that emerged  was to compile a database and release it after approval by our District Governor Nitin Mangaldas, an alumni himself, if possible on 20th June.
It was decided to was to bring out a quarterly electronic newsletter, the first issue of which could be released on the same reunion day.  There were some very interesting activities planned for the alumni which will be discussed  on 20th June. Alumni turned Rotarians , Basic Rotarians  turned Alumni, Non-Rotarian Alumni turned Paul Harris fellows ,Alumni who are all enthused to get the movement going, its going to be a fascinating mix!!!
Suggestions for the event, articles for the newsletter and information about the team members who have probably relocated are heartily and immediately welcome.
